SINIGANG

Ingredients: |

| ¼ c. onion, sliced |
1 tsp. salt |
| ¼ c. tomatoes, chopped |
2 c. kangkong leaves and tender stalks |
| 10 pcs. Camias** |
(swamp cabbage) |
| 6 c. rise water or water |
½ k. fresh shrimps, (med sized) |
Saute onion and tomatoes. Add the camias and cook until
tender and mushy. Add the rice water or water. Let boil.
When boiling, drop the shrimps. Season with salt. Add
kangkong and cook 2 minutes. |
*Shrimps may be substituted with fish such as lapu-lapu,
apahap, talakitok.
* Kangkong with vegetables such as mustasa (mustard leaves)
Sitaw, sigadillas
** Lemon or calamansi or green “sampaloc”
can be used to sour soup.
